Sunday night there was a Simpsons Poseidon Adventure parody. I caught quite by accident as I had know idea they had planned on doing it. It was part of a tales at sea trilogy, and it wasn’t one of their best but they obviously did their homework when it came to the sets and capsize because they copied the some of the capsizing moments perfectly including Nelson’s mom, Louanne, sliding across the floor screaming and the piano crushing incident. As rushed as this was it was still better the Beyond the Poseidon Adventure with Michael Caine, Sally Field, Telly Savalas, Shirley Jones and Slim Pickens. A group of us tried to watch it that Sunday afternoon and just couldn’t finish it. One of the more suspenseful moments had passengers jumping over a hole in the floor.
