My goodness, a lot can happen in a day. North Korea testing missiles and Ken Lay kicking the bucket. So does this North Korea thing discount my semi-faux liberalisma 4th of July post? Naw…, There will always be North Koreas. There always have been. Here’s hoping Mr. Bush will go the route of International mediation rather then strapping on his holster and declaring war. I doubt if Mr. Bush can afford another holster right now and how could he possibly gather another posse without drafting them?

Ken Lay is dead. Do you suppose the burden of knowing he helped ruin the lives of so many people contributed to his fatal heart attack? It’s so difficult to know what is going on in people’s minds. Perhaps Mr. Lay believed this was just business and the consequences were just an unfortunate aftermath and therefore he truly felt no remorse or guilt. Who the hell knows what degree of guilt that can lay dormant in a man’s mind. Some people are capable of turning off the part of their mind known as a conscious and convince themselves that they are doing nothing wrong. Lord knows I’ve done it. Look at OJ Simpson! Okay, I’ve yet to murder anyone but I’ve done some pretty unsavory things in my time.
