We lost another one from the golden age of Hollywood , the girl next door, June Allyson. June was certainly loved in Hollywood and why wouldn’t she be? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture where she wasn’t smiling. I actually heard about this through Hilary Saenzel this morning and couldn’t find anything online about it. Apparently I had a ’scoop’ and didn’t know it. It seems Hilary’s mom is a big time June fan and actually became a phone pal with Ms. Allyson. Hilary writes ‘One of the biggest thrills of my mother’s life was the first time June called to thank her for one of her gifts. I believe she still has it on the answering machine after all this time. ‘

That’s a classy lady.
