Tonight is our first sit down, check each other out, ‘okay, so we’re really going to do this’ read through of Caged Dames with the cast and designers. Tres excitando! I finished the script this past weekend. I had to go over the the big potato and tweak it a bit now that I had an idea of who was doing what and I had to add some noir narratives for Warden Hope (me). Because I’m writing, acting in and co-producing this I’m trying to take this one day at a time as much as one day at a time applies to this. I feel good about the script and the support of my fellow Handbaggers helps immensely (or is that ‘immensely helps’, or helps a lot?). We have some great people involved in this including Mr. Scott Bradley, our director who watches more obscure films than I do. He was recently discussing the various films of Eleanor Parker for Christ’s sake… So, as you can see I am not wrapped in a mourning cloak but I appreciate the concern expressed by you, our dear readers.
