Why a Tim Conway collection? Well, he’s like a legend and stuff, but the REAL treasure here is a a skit called ‘The Warden’ featuring Joan Crawford. No, I didn’t model my Warden on this sketch. I haven’t even seen the show as I don’t own it-yet.

You really can’t go wrong with a John Waters collection. It really kills me to find out how many of the younger people aren’t aware of his pre-Hairspray films which is in his words, a dirty shame. It’s funny how so many of his films depended on the pin point accurate delivery of his words by Divine, Mink Stole, Edith Massey and the old school gang. Guest actors like Kathleen Turner, Suzanne Shepherd, and Mary Garlington NAIL it, probably because they’ve got a bit of that ‘outsider’ blood in them. Others like Melanie Griffith, fall flat. Tracey Ullman does okay but Mink Stole OWNS A Dirty Shame. Joey Heatherton is in Cry Baby!

The book is NOT like the film. The climbers strip down to their underwear. Nonnie is a circus performer ( a monkey!). Linda Rogo is a total hateful racist bitch (as opposed to a loving racist bitch) and Belle Rosen farts. None of the women fare well in the book but I don’t want to spoil it for you…Oh, Robin dies.
