His father in law is a CDC (Center for disease control) microbiologist specializing in the spread of TB and other bacteria. Although his father- in- law claims that he had nothing to do with his son in laws affliction. [...]

And we’re in good company.
7. Storefront theaters
Sure, you’ve had a few WICKED times in the Loop’s Theater District, but Chicago’s off-Loop spots and fringe companies offer the alt-adventures we love. Even better, you can’t throw a stage prop without hitting a small theater in most parts of the city. Better yet, you get real diversity: Think [...]

It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s Handbag’s Tim Howard in Superman, The Musical Comedy at Drury Lane Oakbrook. The show opens June 6 and you can go here for details. Will Timmy be wearing tights? Perhaps if you catch him grocery shopping, but not in this show…

I hope to see you all at our first installment of Summer Camp at Mary’s Attic tonight. If you don’t think Die! Mommie! Die! is amusing , surely you will laugh at us holding our scripts as we manuever props and blocking in full costume. It’s a cabaret read through, meaning we don’t just stand [...]

So I have worked at cultivating our Hell in a Handbag Myspace page and I’m proud to say we’re nearing 1,ooo. I try to monitor the list to cool dead celebrities, theater folks and people who actually live in Chicago or around Chicago. It’s finding people all over the world that share your weird little obsessions. [...]
