I love the internet because I reconnected with the Comateens, who did one of my favorite dance synth pop rock new wave whatever songs, Get Off My Case. I rediscovered the Comateens on Myspace and they just posted all of their videos on Youtube. Get Off My Case is my favorite and still holds up. Besides, how can you not like a band named The Comateens?

    I probably would have thought they were a cereal or something…we didn’t get a whole lot of alternative music in Peoria. I think that year was spent listening to ABBA, Blondie, Carole King, and Donna Summer (the music I could find in the stores there).

    And I think The Orleans crept in there briefly, too…
