My Way of Life

The television taping for The Joans on Chic-A-GO-GO went really well. We had a great time and to hear a bunch of kids yell MAD AT THE DIRT was pretty frigging hilarious. Getting to the studio was another thing. It was a nightmare. Ed and I got lost a couple of times and once we got there there was no parking- welcome to Chicago. So, I dropped Ed off and looked and looked for parking. I was so frustrated and I ended up getting in a very minor accident due to my own focus on finding a space. There car was fine. Mine has a slight door dent. This is the door I just fixed last year. Now it matches my winter door dent on the passenger side. Putting on false eyelashes when you’re stressed out is nearly impossible, and after two tries I managed to stick them on. It turns out, the hostess of the show, Miss Mia is a friend of Loren Connell, who was in Judy’s Scary Little Christmas, and I knew the camera man from my club days in the 80’s. It’s such a small and scary world.

That evening I spoke with friend and ensemble member Brigitte, who’s mom had a stroke Friday. Brig is very close to her family and her parents are pretty great people. Of course Brig is with her family now and things seem to be going okay so far,  but please say a prayer and/or direct your positive healing energy/karma to Brigitte’s super nice mom, Lucy. Get better Mrs. D!

  1. You knew the camera guy? Who knew?! And when I saw our MySpace comments today, I saw the one from John who was at the studio and introduced himself to Jennifer. He was at Ronny’s when we were there with The Countdown. I didn’t recognize him without his mask…

Still thinking good thoughts and prayers for Brigitte and family…!
