My Way of Life

Blech! I have been feeling icky on and off this past two days. Not icky enought to miss work though so I am here plugging away. I tried to watch some of American Idol last night and it was just so irrelevant to my anything I cared about that I tried to finish up the Angela Arden song for the Chicago premiere of Die! Mommie, Die! We are doing our own version, like ‘Why Not Me’ in the film version of DMD. We, meaning myself and Jon Steinhagen. The song, ‘This Time It’s For Me’, was started last month and upon revisting it last night I wasn’t as thrilled with it as I was last month so I had to walk way from it and just went to bed.

Better you should walk away from it now than have the audience walk away during the performance. (There–I held off as long as I could. I was crampin’ UP, it was so tight!)
Seriously, though, trust your first instincts…maybe it just needs an instrumental flourish of some sort to bring the magic back–I’ve found that with a few songs that I was tired of before…
