Last night I attended the opening night of Eating Raoul- The Musical. Because of the other Summer Camp shows and The Joans I really had only heard one song from one rehearsal of the show and it sounded great, but hey, you never know whatthe whole enchilada is gonna taste like from just one bite. Well wait a minute, maybe thats not the best example…. Anyway, on to the show.

It was incredible. Seriously, I was in awe of what they did considering most of these people are very busy working on other shows and they’ve only been rehearsing a month. They were friggin’ off book and devoured the show like a hungry jackal- maybe we should put that on the poster….

I hesitate to point out anyone in particular but I will- Trista and Jason were born to play Paul and Mary Bland.  Bethany Thomas as a dominatrix. Tim Reardon in hot pants and a Hitler mustache. Rodrigo Ignacio Cruz tapping away in short shorts. Danni Smith with a chicken on her head. Steve Kimbrough as Ginger Rogers. Ed Fraim and Trish Austin round out this fabulous cast.  All this and a live band led by the very talented Randy Fleer. Word of mouth will mean tickets go fast so get yours now.
