I didn’t know who Tura Satana was until I read about her in John Waters book, Shock Value. When I finally saw the film and Tura Satana I was shocked that I had lived my life this long and not known who Tura Satana was. She was more then a mere mortal- she was, a mythical rock and roll bitch Goddess and every single moment she is on screen you can’t take your eyes off of her. She is on the list of people I have always wanted to meet and thank God she will be at the Music Box Theater tonight. Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill! inspired my first produced staged parody, Superpussy Vixens, Go Faster, Kill! Kill!. I played the Haji role some 11 years ago. I am looking forward to being a babbling idiot around her.
