Handbag’s David Cerda wins a ‘Pressie’ award!

Congratulations to Hell in a Handbag’s resident playwright and Artistic Director David Cerda for being named Best Local Actor by Chicago Free Press readers for this years PRESSIE Awards.  The PRESSIE Awards are annual survey asking Chicago Free Press readers to choose the Best in Community in Chicago. “This was a really nice surprise”, says Cerda. “It’s very gratifying to know that people appreciate what you do.  I am thankful and flattered and I accept this honor on behalf of the entire Handbag ensemble.” There will be a reception/award ceremony for the PRESSIE recipients on March 25 at Sidetracks Chicago.
