Lon Ellenberger

Lon Ellenberger is the resident musical director at Handbag Productions and has coached singers in all shows of the Cerda/Lamberty repertoire. He also received critical acclaim as an “uncanny impersonator” (Reader) whose “(Marlene) Dietrich is the funniest performance of the night” (Tribune) for his work in Queen of the Roundup. Currently a Doctoral Student of Music at Northwestern University, Lon teaches voice in Chicago and holds a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy. An avid performer of early music and liturgical and sacred choral repertoire, Lon sings countertenor and has been featured “live on WFMT,” as vocalist in art movies, as soloist in recitals, and in numerous ensembles.
