Rehearsals begin March 22 and generally run Mon-Thurs evenings (7-9:30pm) and Saturday afternoons (12-4pm). The run itself is Thurs-Sat nights from May 6 until June 19 (With no shows May 22 & June 12 and additional shows on June 6 & 16). Showtimes are 7:30pm at Mary’s Attic. There is pay.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, March 14 at North Shore Baptist Church, 5244 N. Lakewood from Noon-2pm. Come prepared with a comic monologue no longer then 2 minutes. We may also have you cold read some sides from the show. Please bring a headshot and resume. Following their riotous Victory Gardens show last October, The New Colonists bring their shame back to the Biograph - this time with a queer twist!  Remember when you woke up in a bathtub wearing your friend’s mom’s brassiere?  No?  Well, The New Colony will jog your memory at Walk of Shame - Queer.  This evening of honest-to-God tales, created by The New Colony ensemble and invited artists from across the Queer community will make your own worst moment (meeting your ex’s fiance or having a few too many snowtinis at the company holiday party) shy in comparison.  The New Colony is one of the freshest creators of new work in Chicago.  These energetic Colonists are beyond thrilled to hold your hair back after the hungover stumble home.

In 1850 Connecticut, Hippolyta Powell has actually built the world’s first computer, an analytical engine.  Rather than use the machine to solve complex mathematical equations, she has used it to find her “perfect match,” much to the consternation of her family, the chosen suitor, Lord Byron’s daughter, and the man who truly loves her. Multiple Jeff Award winner Jon Steinhagen penned this period-perfect World Premiere with a wink to Match.com and eHarmony.

Bob Knuth, Circle Theatre’s Producing Director, has directed/scenic designed Enchanted April, Jane Eyre, She Loves Me, The Secret Garden (nominated for ten Jeff Citations) and Meet Me In St. Louis, among others too numerous to list. His design credits include About Face, Red Hen Productions, Emerald City, Noble Fool Theatricals and the Chicago Children’s Theatre.  He has been nominated for eleven Joseph Jefferson Awards (winning for scenic design twice) and is currently the art director for Second City.

Presented in a series of vignettes and short moments written by WNEP company members, a cast of seventeen actors follow Hopper’s New York from dawn to dark and thrust the audience into the quiet desperation and dark comedy of the city.
