JAMIE AITCHISON

A Michigan native, Jamie grew up an only child, acting a fool for any amount of attention. She began performing on stage at age four in dance recitals and beauty pageants before joining the Downriver Community Players Young People’s Theatre. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts / Creative Writing from Eastern Michigan University (Alice in Wonder[Alice];The Big Funk[Jill];Eden[Winner, Best Original One-Act]) before relocating to Chicago. She’s a graduate of the Second City Writing Program and co-wrote a show for the first annual Chicago Sketchfest. In 2014, she established Pop Qs Trivia, hosting pop culture pub trivia across the city. You can catch her every week at Tuesday Night Movie Trivia at the Logan Theatre. After seeing her first Handbag show (The Drag Seed, 2019), she immediately began manifesting an opportunity to join the company. As box office manager, she is thrilled to be the first face to welcome patrons to a wild and wonderful Handbag show. You could say she really has a knack for managing Handbag’s BO.
