Terry McCarthy earned his B.A in Music Education from Western Illinois University and has been a music teacher for 22 years, currently teaching music and drama at Ogden school in the Chicago Public Schools. As a Hell in a Handbag ensemble member Terry has been seen previously in  POSEIDON! an Upside-down Musical ,  POSEIDON! in the NYC international Fringe Festival, and in the Twilight Gallery. He has also been seen as Elfano/Drag Beast in 2006 of  Rudolph the Red-Hosed Reindeer . HE continues to freelance as a director /choreographer in the Chicago-land area. You may have seen the softer side of Terry in the Equality Illinois fundraiser for the past 10 years in  Night of 100 Drag Queens at Sidetrack. Terry is very proud of the Gold metal he won in volleyball at the Gay Games ’06 in Chicago.
